"Despite all our technological innovation, we learned we are not masters of our universe."

Ólafur Grímsson, Iceland’s fifth and current president, spoke at Poptech (a TED-esque conference of innovators) this weekend. 

He discussed Iceland’s struggles over the past couple years - they were hit incredibly hard by bank collapses in October of 2008, plus two consecutive volcano eruptions! - and the changes they make to recover. 

A little long, but a fascinating watch.
